• Boys Cross Country

  Lads got the chance to compete against Lichfield schools

  in their annual cross-country competition. It did clash with school

  Halloween party hence few participants.

  

• Boys Football

  The boys A team in action. They finished 

  4th in the competition.

  The boys B team came joint 8^thin the competition. 

  

• Girls football Team

  The girl’s team came 3rd on the night

   but did not concede any goals.

  

• Well done Ava!

  Ava and her partner were pairs winners at the 

  British Championships.

   Ava came 2nd in fast solo out of lots of dancers. She also placed

  1st in slow solo, again out of lots of dancers and they also

  won rock and roll pairs.

   

  She has now won enough times in slow to move out of

   beginners and is now a 'Starter', which means she can

   now wear sparkles in slow. Her aim is to be a champ 

  one day :-)

  

• Well Done Hannah!

  Hannah has been chosen to play for Staffordshire County Under 13's hockey team. She has been selected to play for the County team and recently played her first tournament agains Derbyshire! All the best for the future Hannah! 

  

• Reading Gladiators

  Our Reading Gladiators have all received their badges and have all received their second book. Each week they meet to discuss the book, they have extra reading homework to do before the reading sessions. They are going to be introduced to the school as ambassadors for reading at Holly Grove. They will be having a section on the monthly newsletter to talk about the books we are reading as well as recommendations. They are also going to be reading with younger children and sharing the joy of books with them. 

  

• October Reading Raffle Ticket Winners

  Well done to the winners of the monthly Reading Raffle! Every time a child read x3 in one week, they receive a raffle ticket if they read x5 in one week they get 2 tickets to go in the box! Every month we have a draw and children from year 5/6, year 3/4, year 2, year 1, reception and nursery are drawn. Each area have different coloured tickets! 

   

  Well done one to every one in the draw, the box was full! Good luck for next month.
