At Holly Grove Primary we believe that Geography provides all children with the ability to delve deeper and make connections to find out about our world.  We aim to inspire in our children a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people which will stay with them for the rest of their lives.

Our world is ever-changing and Geographical enquiry needs to reflect the organic nature of people and places, with exploration being based on ‘the real’ and relevant, wherever possible.

Children will have access to a wide range of resources to aid them in their discovery, providing them with skills for life. Geography will help them learn about how people influence and interact with the physical and human environment.  Ensuring they have an informed concern for the quality of the environment, throughout their lives.

Our vision is that Holly Grove pupils leave with an increased confidence and understanding of Geographical facts and vocabulary, as well as the skills to explore their world and become responsible and valued citizens in our society.  We also want our children to go on as adults to explore the diverse and beautiful world in which we live!
