  Dear Parents/Carers and all our stakeholders

   

  Cooperative Trust Consultation

   

  The Governing board of Holly Grove Primary School met on 5th December to consider the outcome of our recent consultation to change the status of the school from community to foundation school and form a Co-operative Trust with Ridgeway Primary, Chase Terrace Primary and Highfields Primary Schools from 1st January 2018.

   

  In the initial period of consultation the proposals were received positively and therefore the Governing boards of each school published a statutory notice and informed the Department for Education of their proposals. There have been no objections to the proposals and therefore the Governing Board having considered all responses have decided to proceed to change the status of the school and form the Trust with effect from 1st January 2018.

   

  We thank you for your responses to help the Governors decide on their course of action and we are confident that the change of status will enable us to work closely with other likeminded schools to the benefit of the children.

• Snow procedures and School Closure

  If the weather means it is not safe for children to be in school, then we will contact you via the texting service. It will also be on the front page of our website. 

   

  Wherever possible if we open we try not to close the school part way through the day as we understand the disruption this can cause for parents. However, if the weather or circumstance mean we have no choice then we will contact you. 

   

  Clothing

  Please make sure your child/ren have suitable warm clothing so they are able to go outside. Also another pair of footwear as if their shoes get wet on the way to school/ or at playtime it can be uncomfortable for them.

  Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Sutton on the birth of their 7lb 8oz baby daughter on Saturday night! Baby and mom both doing well! 

• CHRISTMAS FAIR

  Thank you to all the parents and children who attended the Christmas Fair on Friday! Lots of fun and happy faces could be seen. We raised lots of money to help towards making our Early Years outdoor area more inviting! 

   

  Thank you to all the staff who took part and gave up their time! A special thank you to Mrs Ellis for organising it! 

• Miss Marshall and her little baby daughter

  For those who didn't know Miss Marshall had a baby girl on early Friday 27th October. She is a big baby 9lbs 6oz. 

   

  Miss Marshall is hoping to come in and see everyone in the next week or so.
