    BBAF Store

We are not for profit and all monies taken are put back into the project and local causes to further support families and see long term solutions. It is 2 fold as some access it to make money go further but then others access it to do their environmental duty to make sure no good food goes to waste. We have no barriers on who can access our service or who is entitled. The only imitation is that access to the store is once per week per membership. By doing this we are able to target those who may have hardships but also be in employment. We are also reducing pressures on local food banks who are there for emergencies and the initial crisis. They have limitations to how many times a household can access the service and simply offer food- no signposting or solution works. Our demand is at an all time high now with the costs of daily living rising. From sign ups and our family workers doing the registrations we are able to sign post and build connections with those needing an extra helping hand should they wish by breaking down the barriers and to empower them. In an aspect we have become a community hub for people to come to gain access to information of what's going on in the local community linking with other organisations/groups/ promoting volunteering.

    The Max and George Trust.

They are a local dog charity based in Kings Bromley who welcomes any unwanted and abandoned dogs from all over the UK as well as from Europe. They rescue dogs in Europe who have been abandoned and are in dire situations and are in kill centres. It costs £400 with all the costs for transport, vaccinations, passport fees to bring a dog to the UK to then find their forever home. While they are waiting they go into foster care if they are available.

Have a look on Facebook - The Max and George Trust.

On 17th December Christmas Lunch day we will be asking for a donation of 50p to go to The Max and George Trust - when we wear our Christmas Jumpers with pride.

Please help support the two charities by sending items to support them.

You can give the items to the staff on a gate or send into school with your child in a bag. We will be collecting from Monday 29th November until Thursday 16th December. So if you can spare it, maybe send in a few items over the 3 weeks.

    Thank you!!
