Dear Parents

We have looked at the weather forecast for Friday and it looks like the beautiful weather will still be with us. As our Sports Day is scheduled for the afternoon, can we remind you to make sure your children are wearing sunscreen on Friday and that they have a hat, a water bottle and extra sunscreen with them please.

We have taken out one of the events so that we can provide an extra rest station with drinks available and will also be providing extra shade.

As the event usually runs from approximately 1:30pm until almost 3:30pm, we may also bring the children inside for extra drinks halfway through.

If we feel the event needs to be shorter, we will postpone the relay races until another day.

In addition to the water which will be freely available, there will also be ice lollies for sale.

We look forward to seeing you on Friday afternoon.

Summer 2018

Welcome to a new term! We're very excited about all the wonderful lessons and experiences we have ready for the children in Y3/4 this Summer.

The term we are looking at Britain following the Romans evacuation, this will take upon a time-travelling journey through Anglo-Saxon and Viking invasions. We will learn why these peoples invaded Britain and what it was like to live in these times. After half term we will be comparing Britain and Scandinavia investigating the similarities and differences between these two areas of Europe. We'll also get artistic as we study the Northern Lights. To accompany this topic our English text will be The Saga of Erik the Viking by Terry Jones.

The Summer 2018 Viking themed Homework Menu, with exciting projects you can undertake at home, can be found below. Projects are due in Monday 25th June.

As always you will be able to find year group and class information here on the website including homework, photos, letters, timetables and any other relevant information. If you have any questions and concerns please come in and see us.
