Welcome to my page. Here you will find information and photos relevant to Year 2. The page will be regularly updated so please keep popping back for a look.
This autumn term is a little bit different to any others but ththe children have settled in brilliantly and we're still having lots of fun. Along with learning how to stay safe, we've started learning all about our local area in our geography unit - 'Where I Live' and investigating how our bodies work in science. In English we're reading Funny Bones by Janet and Allan Ahlberg while learning how to use expanded noun phrase and in maths we're finding out how numbers work in our unit on Place Value. Have a look below for photos of our autumn so far.
If you have any questions at any time please get in touch with me via Class Dojo.
Black History Month
in Year 2 to celebrate Black history we investigated the life of Rosa Parks, an ordinary lady whose refusal to give up her bus seat triggered a change in the law and a step towards equality. The children found out about her life and her actions and then wrote her biography. All the children agreed what an amazing person she was.
