Autumn Term 2017
Our topic this term is all about the Tudors. During the term the children will have an exciting visit from Timepieces, where they will learn what it was like to live in the Tudor times. After a discussion about life in Tudor times, the children will get to play some Tudor games and learn what Tudor school was like. In the afternoon, they will experience what it was like to fight in a Tudor army and finally take part in a Tudor trial. A copy of the our topic web can be downloaded below. Keep checking back on the website and our class blog to see photos of work completed during the topic.

Anti- Bullying Week 2017
We have had a great week learning all about Anti-Bullying. We started the week with a lovely assembly from Mrs O'Hare, which reminded us of what bullying is and what we can do to stop it.
We looked at two characters, Ade and Gaia, from our class reading book as Gaia had been bullied by some children in her class. We identified what unique qualities these characters had and why others might treat them differently.
We also learnt about the difference between 'conflict' and 'bullying'. This helped us to see that a lot of incidents on our playground are conflict and not bullying. However, we also thought about how conflict can turn in to bullying. Based on this we wrote some fantastic diary entries from the perspective of someone being bullied and watching someone being bullied.
Have a look at some pictures of the work that we have completed this week.
During the Autumn half term, years 5 and 6 have been developing their programming skills. Click the link to have a look at what they have created. http://apps.espressocoding.co.uk/?site_id=681
