British Values

In Nursery we help promote British values. We celebrate a famous British Person. This year we chose Jill Murphy.  Children are  also taught about different communities and cultures, where we often celebrate festivals around the world, such as Christmas, Chinese new year, pancake day, Easter etc. . As part of school, children in Nursery strive to  show attributes to be chosen for the TORCH child of that week and take our Bee Buddy home for the weekend.

Class Dojo

Like with the whole school we award monster points to children who show the superhero learning powers within Nursery, children who do good tidying up, share,  and also children who complete their homework. As part of an incentive the more monster points the children earn the better the prizes. Please find attached Nursery's prize list.

Reading Diaries

Why does my child need a Reading Diary?

  • It encourages good book skills
  • Children change books once a week with staff and twice a week with parents
  • We can talk about the books you read at home as they are entered into the diary.
  • We encourage children in Early Years have stories read to them/read three times a week

Reading diaries can be purchased from the school office for £2.50
